Frapin Nevermore is inspired by Edgar Poe's poem "The Raven" and the legend of the Toaster, whom every 19th of January, on the anniversary of the poet, laid upon his grave three red roses and a flask of Cognac. A fragrance as mysterious as the elusive Toaster, Nevermore opens with notes of sharp aldehydes and spicy black pepper. The purity of sweet Rose de Mai is suffused with the fruity notes of wine and as it evolves, Saffron acknowledges a literary connection with its notes reminiscent of ink. Resting in a warm base of Cedarwood and Amber, Nevermore is a dark and enigmatic fragrance that is beautiful in its gratuitousness.

The cognac house was established in the heart of Grand Champagne in the region of Chateau de Fontpinot in 1270. It has remained the family business for 20 generations, and today owners of Frapin are Genevieve Frapin and her husband, Max Cointreau. Their daughter Beatrice Cointreau introduced Frapin fragrance line in 2002, with their first perfume ‘1270’ named after the year when the cognac house was founded.
